of The Think Space:

While waiting to be seated at a popular restaurant near our home, my wife and I noticed a young child, about three years old, making a fuss over something at a nearby table. The mother made one attempt to correct the situation. Seeing that her effort was being ignored, the mother did something that we had never seen a parent do in just that way...

Single-Event Speaking Engagements

Keynote addresses and workshops for conference situations

As always, these events are negotiated individually, since both requirements and costs vary widely from event to event. Normally, subjects are selected from a Topic Index that we email to the inquiring individual or organization. Fees in these situations include, but are not limited to, considerations of distance, amount of time dedicated to the event, number of appearances and/or presentations during the event, promotional and display options, preparation time for subject matter requested, periferal expenses, organizational practices and local budget. If transportation costs can be shared by back-to-back events, we are happy to discount applicable expenses. To contact us for this category of engagement, go HERE.

Parenting clubs & local organizations

As you may know, for many years we have operated a small full-time childcare-preschool facility that has seriously limited our availability for speaking engagements, especially during daytime hours. Now, with more time open for outside engagements, we are making ourselves readily available, especially to this category of engagement. Our new small-group plan is designed for groups like MOPs, Mothers of Multiples Clubs and other parenting support groups.

Here are the details of the plan:

  1. Designed for small groups
This format is for gatherings of up to 50 people, although it would work for larger group settings as well, if an informal, more extemporaneous presentation is what is desired for the event.
  2. Wide time range
We are now available for a wide range of programs from short 15-minute discussions to longer, 90-minute interactive presentations.
  3. No set fees
What you pay is up to you. While we encourage hosts to give attendees the opportunity to voluntarily contribute, we make no mention of fees or remuneration during the presentation. All financial arrangements are to be made prior to our arrival.
  4. Informal presentations
    • Simple, non-technical setup. For these engagements, we will bring no PowerPoint or computer-assisted technology and no sound support of our own.
    • One or two subjects are selected from our more than 72 published articles. We also have a list of shorter workshops published in our Topic Index from which hosts may make their choices.
    • We audibly read each article (350 to 400-words) and then open the floor for discussion. Each participant receives a two-page printout of each article, with the right-hand column of each page left open for notes by the participants.
    • While each article is valid as a stand-alone tool or technique, our extemporaneous comments will give background information and illustrations to add insight and logic to the discussion.
  5. Promotional allowance
Hosts allow us to discretely integrate our products and materials into the presentation. Those who know us will recognize that we are more prone to undersell what we have to offer than to abuse the privilege. However, the trade-off is simply this: no minimum fee in exchange for a brief explanation of how our other products and services can help the attendees with their parenting issues.
  6. To schedule an event
with us, please contact our office as early as possible. Obviously, the sooner you contact us, the more likely it will be that we can honor your schedule. To contact us for this category of event, go HERE.

Short promotional appearances in churches, civic clubs & social societies

In these 5 to 15-minute situations, we are happy to honor invitations to address groups who gather for other purposes, but include in their programs, opportunities for individuals to present products and services in which their members may have an interest. In these situations, our normal subject would be the DWD series, although our other services may hold interest as well. Naturally, we understand that such opportunities are strictly promotional, and strictly observe time allowances. To schedule us for this kind of event, go HERE.

Our MISSION

Learning to communicate with and motivate children to make decisions with their heads and hearts.

Our LOGO

The Heart represents the inner child, which is our primary focus.

DWD Logo - Heart with Arrow

The Arrow shows the outward flow of a balanced child’s energy & awareness.

Our TAG LINE

"... from the inside out" defines the foundation of true character development.

OUTSIDE-IN is how almost all adults teach children until they learn the skills of DWD.

Our FOCUS

  • To help children balance the ‘all about me’ syndrome of childhood.
  • To raise children to be authentic at their core instead of superficial.
  • To guide children to use respect as their basis of interaction with others.
